Deacon of Building and Grounds
Jeff has served as the Deacon of Building and Grounds at SCOC since 1998. Jeff grew up in Rhome, Texas. He met his wife Missy here at SCOC and married in 1990. They have three daughters, two of which are married, and one in college at Oklahoma Christian University. Jeff has worked for Atmos Energy for 28 years. Jeff was baptized at 12 years old at the Rhome Church of Christ. Jeff regularly volunteers at Community Link here in Saginaw, helps with Samaritans Purse on tornado disasters, and spent time helping other churches of Christ during Hurricane Harvey disaster relief. In his free time, Jeff enjoys biking, camping, skiing, playing and watching sports, and working on things around the house.
Deacon of Finance
Tad has served as the Deacon of Finance at SCOC since 2019. Before that he served as Deacon of Widows. He met his wife Alicia in South Padre Island, and eventually married in July 2010. They have three daughters. Tad is a stay at home dad, and also works in our Train Up Preschool. Tad regularly attended church when he was a kid, but after he married, he knew he had to be better for his wife and future children, so he started going to church more and volunteering his time. He felt the call to service when the elders asked him to consider serving the church.
Deacon of Special Events
Logan has served as the Deacon of Special Events at SCOC since 2019. Logan grew up in Michigan before moving to the area in 2011. He met his wife Danielle while they attended Harding University. Logan and Danielle were married 2010. They have two daughters. Logan has a BA in Sports Medicine from Harding and is currently a 6th grade social studies teacher at Meacham Middle School. He started attending SCOC in 2011. Logan was baptized in the 7th grade by his dad in Lapeer, Michigan. In his free time, Logan enjoys watching tv and movies, reading, playing video games when possible and spending time with friends and family.
Deacon of Health and Safety
Cameron has served as the Deacon of Health/Safety at SCOC since 2015. Cameron grew up in Desoto, Kansas before moving to the area. He met his wife Jamie while they were seniors at Northwest High School in Justin, Texas. He started attending SCOC regularly with her and her family in 2000. Cameron was baptized two years later at SCOC. Cameron and Jamie were married at SCOC in 2007, in the first service performed by Michael Orr. They have two daughters. Cameron has a BS in Nursing from Texas Tech University, and is currently the charge nurse at JPS Hospital in Fort Worth in the cardiac/telemetry unit. In his free time, Cameron enjoys gardening, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Cameron says "I saw how the congregation at Saginaw acted as a family and how it was instrumental in leading others to Christ (including myself) and knew I needed to be a part of it. Acts 2:42 sums up what being a member of SCOC is all about: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayer”. I am truly blessed to be a leader in such a wonderful church and look forward to serving this congregation and this community for a long time to come!"
Deacon of Worship
Bobby served as Deacon of Technology at SCOC beginning in early 2020. In 2022, he moved to the role of Deacon of Worship. Bobby grew up in the Mid-Cities and North Fort Worth area. He and his wife Krystal have been worshiping at SCOC since the summer of 2017. Together Bobby and Krystal have four children: Emilee, Erin, Hannah and Kaitlyn. Bobby is a Senior Inventory Analyst with GSM Outdoors. In his free time, Bobby enjoys coaching his girls' sports teams, and hanging out with his family.
